The nüvi 360 features a bright, 2.8 x 2.1-inch TFT display with white backlight for easy readability. The unit also features Garmin Lock — an advanced anti-theft feature that disables the unit from performing any functions until you type in a specific four-digit PIN or take the unit to a predetermined location. A built-in lithium ion battery will give you up to eight hours of power, and an included 12/24 volt adapter cable will let you run the navigator off your vehicle’s power. An AC battery charger is also included.

A built-in Travel Kit that includes sample MP3s and audio books will get you started with entertainment, and with the unit’s SD memory card expansion slot you can add optional software, such as language and travel guides. A USB port is also included for loading and updating data.

bright screen, clear voice direction, super easy to operate. Love this little machine. If you want a solid navigation system without all those uneccessary frails. Then this machine is for you. I honestly do not see the needs to go for a more expensive model. this machine literally saved my behind a couple of times when I went travelling. I remember I was still in school and had this intervew in kansas for the summer internship ( coincidentally with garmin lol ). I arrived in kansas airport and had to drive a rental car a long way to olathe where the company/hotel was at. It was around 9pm and I was dead tired since I just had a couple of exams and exhausting nights the same week in school. The machine literaly dragged me to the hotel when I literally could not quite open my eyes driving the rental car, and absolutely had no sense of direction where I was suppose to be heading. I just followed its directions while half dreaming… I kissed the machine when I got to the hotel. And I got that summer internship too with garmin thx to it.

Now I moved to Cali after graduation and it still work great after 3 years or so.

I bought the NUVI 360 about 3 years ago, it’s an ok unit. Occasionally it will direct you to go left over a median or can’t find an address. I bought the updated maps, it took 5 attempts and 4 hours to download with a DSL connection. Customer support had me on hold for 2 hours, i emailed them, it took 5 days to answer the email. The email told me to call. Also customer support is closed on the weekend.

Great portable GPS for personal use. I love it. I will keep it even though I have GPS in my car because I can still use it during the trip to Hawaii when I am renting the car. Great usage!

It is a nice little model. Very useful on road trips. A little dated now but still gets the job done. Better then spending 2k+ on in dash.

This has been a great, dependable little GPS to have. Very accurate and reliable for the last 3 years of heavy use. Be careful not to become too dependent though… you never know then the battery might die and BOOM your stuck. No matter how great any GPS is, have a Mapquest print out in the glovebox just incase! Overall, a wonderful product thought.

Easy to use product, clear and loud voice.

Unfortunately map update will cost money. Some one-way streets (in Baltimore) are not recognized as such by this devise, so sometimes the thing will drive you in circles. Satellite signal is not picked up fast enough – whether in the city or in the county (again, in Baltimore area): in three out of four instances it takes about 2-3 minutes to get connected.

Battery life is relatively short (appx 2 hrs), so bring your cord every time.

Works great with Garmin Portable Friction Dashboard Mount.

Never used other GPS devices, so I am not sure how this one compares with others.

The Garmin Nuvi 360 is an excellent GPS navigation system. It talks and gets me where I need to go. The case is solid and well-built unlike systems made in present day that feel light and cheap. The Nuvi 360 is the equivalent to the Nuvi 660 which has a bigger screen.

If you do travel from state to state this machine will not be okay. I have to make trips to multiple states and it does not keep up with the changes. It has taken me down dead end roads. Turned me down one way streets and recalculated enough times that I should have invested in a good atlas. I have watched it set and try to find a address for 15 minutes and turn it off and ask someone at a gas station for directions, turn it back on and it have the direction and be ready to go. I liked our other Garwin we had 1st we never had any problems.

This product was easy to use, Opened the package, started it and it was ready to go. I purchased it for me because my husband always made fun of me getting lost all the time. But he borrowed it and now cant get it back….

I have owned my Nuvi 360 for over a year, and had no problems with it until the last few months. The power button on these units is constructed poorly. It is set under a piece of plastic, and after repeated use, can get pushed down too far for it to turn on. I went in under the plastic tab to turn it on and it stopped working completely. The product overall is good except for this faulty hardware. Please be aware of this if you are thinking of purchasing this unit. I am buying a new one, and I am going with the Nuvi 265 (the power switch is a sliding switch on this model!) I hope garmin doesn’t let me down a second time!

Great device to get you where you want to go. One of the best GPS devices on the market. My only complaint is that the included car cord fell apart shortly after one year.

This makes people even more stupid when driving.

    That felt good to write.

I bought this for my wife as she knows nothing of the LA streets. It gets her to where she’s going and home again so it’s doing it’s job. Battery life is decent as well.

I just have a personal vendetta for GPS devices. I come from the Thomas guide school of knocks.

Had nothing but trouble with this unit after the first download. Voice only worked before download and then one time after. After light-up it says loading maps. Get to main screen and try to put in an address and it says “No Maps”!! It won’t navigate! Next time I try to use it it might work fine except for voice, or it may not. Company walked me through a master reset which allowed the unit to work ONCE then “No Maps” again. They say if it says “No Maps” it can’t find them ever… yet it does (sometimes). It has almost ended-up out the window or smashed with a hammer several times ($350. a little tough to smash). They now will (after the warranty is up) replace it with a refurb for $89.00 + shipping. Credit card gives me double warranty (a year extension) so it still will be protected by them (after lots of paperwork and receipts from Garmin). They will pay the $89.00 and I’ll have a refurbished Nuvi 360 that may or may not work ever again.

When it worked it worked fine. All the features were never checked out cause it never worked long enough to try them.

We bought the 360 a little over 2 years ago. At first we were thrilled. We used it on a trip to Vermont, then in Maine and Nova Scotia and it was great.

This spring it started loosing satellite connection. Then in about 5 minutes it would reconnect. It wan’t troublesome at that point. We didn’t use it for about 3 months, and it July we turned it on in SE state and it would never connect with a satellite. We brought it home to NE state and tried it and the same thing, no satelite connection. I called Garmin and instructed me to upgrade the soft ware and then to a master reset. I did that and turned it on and after about 45 minutes it made a satellite connection. It worked for about 2 weeks then went on the fritz again and won’t connect to satellites. Garmin wants $400.00 (according to their web site) to repair it. Are they nuts? It cost nearly that much new and it is still close to that price new. Which I can’t understand what it is suppose to have that is now worth that much. They (Garmin) offer no explanation as to what has happened. In any event, we only used they Garmin on about 4 major trips and after that most of the use was within a 150 mile range in about 2 dozen times the 2+ years we owned it. We want to get another unit but especially concerned with the reliability. We have frinds and family with these and they love them so I don’t know what went wrong with ours. I feel Garmin should take this unit in trade but they won’t so I can’t give anything but a one star on this unit. Garmin nüvi 360 3.5-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Text-To-Speech

I had borrowed 2 other gps units and finally bought this one. We love it! I use it all the time, even if it is just to see what time we will arrive. The others had our house on the wrong side of the street, but this is correct. I do double check routes before we go on long trips because one time it didn’t take us on interstates which was slightly longer but much more convenient and straight. Be sure and keep the unit plugged into the back, not the side. The side outlet will work with the adapter but it messes up the unit and causes it to go very slow and not calculate correctly. The bluetooth feature is nice although my son does not like the reception but no one else has complained. We love it!

    AAA+.

It was a X-mas present. According to my husband: best present ever…Big help..he/we love it. Thank you.

I’m very happy with this GPS because of It’s simplicity of use and response is perfect. It is not the best GPS but for common people who sometimes travel is great! The Bluetooth with my nokia’s 6311 and 5800 worked perfect. Speed of connection with satellite here in my country 7 out of 10.

I think It have two cons:

    1. The external antenna makes it uncomfortable to manage, and seems to be very sensible.

    2. Lack of the function to save the route.

I bought this item for christmas last year in 2008. I purchased it for 169.00 Yes I said 169.00….what is with the new Hefty price for the same model???

I used it occasionally on the dashboard mount. As i was placing it there last week, it fell onto a PADDED car floor. (I have thick all weather proof Mats).

Mind you it was not thrown, and only fell about 2 feet. After picking it up I see that the LCD screen is no longer functioning. There are zig zag lines on the LCD screen.

I do not beleive that a product of this nature which is built to be used in the car, should become useless after this.

The warranty does not cover it.

I will never buy from Garmin again. I can not believe how fragile this was.
