Love this GPS!
This is my 2nd Nuvi 660 from Garmin, and that is ONLY because my 1st one was Stolen! That is just how good they are! Easy to use, buttons and you hardly ever hit a wrong button on this great touch screen. Buy one if you want a quality GPS from Garmin!
Poor Routing, Awful Customer Service
Selects routes that are absurd. Takes you off a freeway and through 10 miles of city streets. Took me off of a state highway which went directly to my destination and routed me on county roads for 30 miles. Will not find any intersection that has a grade separation. Instead of using highway numbers it uses street names.
After a few years and little use, the batteries are useless, 3 minutes operation after full charge. Garmin now wants $69.00 for a swap out unit. If you really want one of these turkeys, buy one “as is” used and then send it to Garmin and get a swap out for $69.00 more.
Great gps (owning it for 3 years plus)
Well i own this gps for 3 years now and it hasn’t disappointed. Does it job well of taking me from point A to B .
Does have other features such as audio book, photos etc that i don’t use.
Overall great performance.
One point to note though is that after 3 years i am noticing now this GPS takes long time to acquire signal and i find sound coming out of GPS to be of low volume and don’t know how to fix it.
overall i recommend this GPS.
no research needed buy it
I am a traveling salesman and have 2 other salespeople who work for me we all have this exact model so do our wives. never use blue tooth,or currency calc…or some of the other stuff. This model is 99% accurate and poi’s are a life saver finding filling stations, resturants, post offices, hotels… reception is flawless the only thing is buy the dash mount that does not use a suction cup for the money impossible to beat.
Nuvi 660 GPS
I returned a newer Nuvi 765 T and replaced it with this product. Even though the 660 is older technology, it outperforms the 765. It provides more detail on the map so you know if there is a town ahead while the 765 gives you a blank screen and little or no detail on your route. It also supplies the driver with quicker and more accurate voice directions than the 765 which several times gave me late directions or completely incorrect directions. Though not as sophisticated as newer models, it does what it is supposed to do, guide you quickly easily from point A to point B while forgoing some of the glitzy features.
garmin GPS
This GPS is great! My husband has loaded all his music on it as well and takes it to the gym. Well worth the money
One of the best refurbs on the market.
Did a lot of research on TomToms, Garmins, and Magellan GPS units. This one just took the win with a combination of features and an excellent price. Also unlike Magellan and TomTom, for just under a hundred bucks you can buy a lifetime maps update for the GPS device. Considering what some companies want to just keep the device updated it makes it well worth it. Also has great features like a widescreen, bluetooth calling, and you can also use traffic and weather on this device (pay for those features separately). Definitely recommend this refurbished unit, and if you do your homework a little bit you will see its the best for the dollar.
10 out of a 5 star review
I love this Garmin, I would be lost without it honestly.
No complaints, I have Three other Garmin GPS devices and this is the best so far, the talking book function helps to put me to sleep while driving, the only thing I would change is to have a sleep mode on the touch screen so as to save batt. power. other than that you can’t go wrong with this. P.S. This is a refurb. and it looks like new and works like new cant tell it was factory refurb. except for the price!!!!
