Cute But Not What I Expected…..Mine Just Sits In The Box
I am sooo thankful for the speedy delivery this company gave me….
The item is cute and practical and pretty easy to use. I am just used to the Navigators that work while being unplugged…. This one does not work that way and so I thought that it was broken or something….
But when I emailed the company that sold em the navigator. They were polite and let me know that its not broken….It has no back-up battery…
I was sooooo disappointed…. I didn’t remember reading that anywhere.
Its Cute but not what I expected….. Mine just sits in the box!
Absolute Junk!!
I received one of these for christmas. The Item turned on perfectly, but thats about all it did perfectly. It gave me “map not found” right out of the box.I contacted Magellans pathetic customer support. When they finally replied, they told me I was basically out of luck, that they dont service this model anymore, and I could send it back and purchase a different model at a resonable rate!!! Cripes!! I got the stupid piece of junk for Christmas, why in the heck would I want to spend money on another one of their Items when this one didn’t even work out of the box.The bottom line is,I got a new paperweight for christmas. This Item could be fixed with a service update and they know it.Do yourself a favor,do not purchase anything from Magellan.Customer support is terrible.Product support is non-existant.Always remember….Get a..get a..get a GARMIN!!!
Magellan RoadMate 360 GPS Portable Navigator
Very happy with gps. Works great. Only complaint is you only have the female voice, the male voice does not work.
Don’t buy
Magellan Customer service is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They offer a free 30 day map update since all of their products ship with out of date maps. This would be a good thing except it is in the fine print of their products and their customer support email address that their website list is the wrong address. I had to get through to their customer service by posting a bad review on their website. By the time they responded my unit was beyond the 30 day limit and they refused to give me the update. This is a bad business practice. Garmin has a 60 day guarantee which is posted directly on their website in plain view.
Works well, would like better updates (found missing addresses_)
This GPS gets the basics done, and belive me I am glad to have it if I get lost, but it does lack on its mapping and finding a location/business. I know for instance when searching for a Walmart when one was close by, it wasn’t able to locate it or direct me to it, and it was not a recent build, it was a location that has been around for over a decade.
Magellan GPS
The unit worked, but the maps were outdated. The windshield mount was very awkard and had one part that was prone to break. The one part did break and the customer service from magellan was AWFUL. The unit was still under warranty but they kept putting me off. I called six times over two months and they said each time that they were mailing me the new part. When I would call to follow up after not receiving the part they would say they just got them in and would mail it that day. I will never buy another Magellan product.
Poor quality and HORRIBLE customer service
My unit worked well for a short while then broke. It suddenly stopped turning on. Sent in for service under warranty. Their customer service is HORRIBLE! So far they have had it for 2 months. There is no communication about it, and every time I call I get their call center in India and the people there have no idea what the status of the unit is. They read from a script and are entirely unhelpful. I am never buying another Magellan product ever, and I recommend no one else does either.
Magellan 360
It stopped working after using it about 10 times , can’t find any help on their web-site, and no one answers their phone numbers in their manual. Except the one number to India and they say they don’t handle this product anymore. At least that is what I think they said???!!

Overpriced junk – cant update the maps
I have had this product a little over a year under the premise (as stated by magellan) that the maps could be updated. They even sent a data cable for connecting to a pc. Unfortunately, they have discontinued the product and there is no procedure to update the maps. I never would have bought this had I known the unit could not be updated. I don’t believe I will ever buy another Magellan product.
Not for the heartland
On main roads it’s ok, but in the country it useless. it takes the long way no matter how hard you try major roads are missing. IT’S a toy at best
Horrible technical support
The unit itself was just “OK”. After about a year, it started having issues booting and finding satellites. Then, the windshield bracket broke. Then the unit stopped powering on and I shipped it for repairs.
It’s been 30 days and after 5 calls to their Indian tech support – I still don’t know the status of my unit. They would not provide its location, tracking number and continue to feed me with promises that “I shoudl wait and hopefullly it will be shipped in another 7 days” (I heard that same answer 4 times already).
Needless to say, I hope that they all go to hell and I will never buy their products. There is enough competition in this space where I don’t have to be subjected to a subpar technical support.
My Best Friend while I am driving
I have been using this GPS for about 10 months and I love it.
Its sleek, portable, compact and it works.
It finds the way out and takes you home or to your destination.
With the complicated highways and turnpikes that you have in NJ/NY, getting lost is easy and I personally hate maps. Because in a new place if you miss an exit, it sometimes becomes very difficult and stressful to get back on the correct route. Well, no more. This Magellan GPS is my best friend to bring me back on track.
The voice and audible alerts are very helpful.
The only problem I experience is in feeding address. It is not so intuitive but you generally get the idea. Some new addresses are not enterable. This though becomes annoying but they are very rare and
in-frequent.
Well, I got this GPS in a Thanksgiving deal from Amazon last year at $200.
With this price, I must say I got a gem of a product.
Enjoy ..
Cheers

Poorly Constructed
Used this product for a few months, then cable connection went bad. Same thing happened to another one I bought for my Dad. Even when it worked, it was always behind. I missed several turns as the unit seemed confused. I would never buy this unit again.
ROADMATE GETS YOU NOWHERE
THIS PRODUCT IS HORRIBLE. IT WILL NOT ACCEPT TOWN NAMES, SO IF YOU DON’T KNOW THE TOWNSHIP THE TOWN IS LOCATED OR THE ZIP, YOU WILL NEVER FIND YOUR DESTINATION. SERVICE IS LOCATED IN INDIA, AND THE SERVICE PEOPLE WERE ILL EQUIPPED TO GIVE ANY ASSISTANCE.
Nice product
Nice product. Guides you where you need to go without any issues. I’ve used this for a trip to San Diego from Bay area and did not find any issues. I had to return this back as I got a better deal on MIO 310x during last thanks giving. Only thing I did not like about this product was, you cannot update the maps and have to live with what they give. But now, with GPS rates hitting amazingly low compared to an year back, I think its a good idea to go for one of those latest with more features.
Good value for the price
I found this unit heavily discounted to about $200. The first unit I recieved was defective. It rebooted on it’s own after about 20 minutes of use. From what I’ve read, this is a common manufacturing issue. Amazon replaced it easily.
The second unit works fine. Occasionally it has trouble finding it’s current location, but usually recovers when I get out in the open. The text entry interface is good, but not great. Finding addresses using route numbers is nearly impossible. The map data seems to support the local street names instead. It took a little while to become accustomed to how it gives audible instructions and all the data it displays, but now that I’ve used if for a while, I am pleased with it.
Below average
If I had paid more than the price of 250$, I would have been very upset. But, for this price. Its ok.
The user interaction/ route calculation is very slow. The text search is very weak.
Poor Device
This unit is not worth the money. Unfortunately I gave this unit as a gift to my mom, helping her set this item up was a nightmare, the unit itself is gorgous, and the keys are beatifully back-lit, however the software included is a bit confusing, does not find addresses too well, and to top it off the unit is extremely extremely slow. the processor can not keep up with input selections as well as recalculations of routes, warm up time is deplorable and as other reviewers have noted, can take up to 2-3 minutes to find your position. I have used a Garmin c320 and this unit while more expensive, is far superior to this unit.
All in all, even though the price of this unit is very very tempting, save your money and purchase something else. this unit is obsolete and can not handle normal day to day operations.
Disappointing
I purchased this item as a Christmas present for my husband, and it did work well at first, but within one week we found that it was locking up and had to send it back. I have since read that this is commonly occuring problem with this item. Amazon handled the return fairly graciously. My husband did his own research and purchased a Tom Tom which has been fantastic and has more options.
Great
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She travels a lot with her kids to sporting events sometimes in areas difficult to find. She loves the Magellan’s ease of use and accuracy in getting her where she needs to go.
